This track reflects on the mental energy of occupying an inbetween space. After I've missed public transport I always try to blame one thing, "oh, it was because I took too long to eat breakfast", where in reality the list is rather endless, "I should've packed my bag last night... sent that message while I was eating... gotten to bed earlier, but that was because of..." This
scenario reflects how we overthink situations that are troubling us. We let them compound and become a force in our head, and with little release this storm circles until we can find respite through sleep. As our thoughts tangle, we too tangle and become paralysed. The image I'm trying to create is that of a person sitting on the edge of their bed with their head in their hands - chasing their thoughts like bubbles, trying to get to sleep.
